I do not beleive on any kind of kings. I was in nepal in 2003 and had a chance to know a little bit about your present king Gaynendra. People hate him and i see the reason. I think what people are doing is quite deserving of him but just ridiculing in the public is not enough. He must be brought to the court and legitimately tried for his crimes. And of course, the king misused the religion but people should punish the king and save their religion. It looks like some foreing missinaries are feeding the people to mix up their king, their caste system and poverty with their religion. It will be very unfortunate if it is happening so. It is really a great victory of people's power. But I do not understand why Nepali people, majority of whom are Hindus, are slamming their own religion and misinterpreting their own identity. Most people have seen the cruelty of Muslim fundamentalists, the war in the middle east and the intolerance of the Christian fundamentalists, who are still very very superstitious. Compared to the rest of the world, Hinduism had been an examplary legend in Nepal so far as tolerance is concerned. I do not know if Nepali people, including the human rightists and leaders ever read the cultural evolution of humans and ethnic values of their own people. I apologize to say this but it surprises me when the metaphysics of Gita and Upanishad have inspired people like Einstein, Shopenhower and TS Eliot in the West, Nepali people are drawing out some of the most incomplete lines from their own holy book and parading a ridicule in the public. I cannot imagine this would ever happen in any other country. Ridiculing their own religion in the public! Yes, I read news, the kings in Nepal have been amazingly corrupt and they should be brought to justice but aren't all kings alike? Christianity worships kings as the messengers of God, as it is revealed in the Bible but people punished the kings when they did wrong but did not burn their Bible. And this Bible, which is a story of Christian kings has entered Nepal as a savior. I was a Christian and now am an atheist because I could not be unidirectional as Bible would force me to submit to Christ, which is wrong. If this continues, and if what I just read is true, then Nepal is not too far from abandoning their most amazing and peaceful culture and moving on to the Western culture of intolerant religious wars as is going on in the Middle East.
