नेपालमा ग्ल्यामरस मोडलिङमा नयाँ रेकर्ड नै राख्ने (प्रमाणः सँगैको फोटो) मोडल पूजा लामाले आज विषपान गरेकी छिन्। किन गरिन्, कसरी गरिन्, हाल कहाँ छिन् त्यस बारेमा तत्काल मलाई केही थाहा हुन सकेको छैन।
पूजा लामा ग्ल्यामर मोडल मात्रै हैनन्, केही चलचित्रकी नायिका, केही टेलिभिजन कार्यक्रमकी प्रस्तोता र गीतसमेत गाइसकेकी गायिका हुन्।
दार्जीलिङमा जन्मिएर कर्मभूमि नेपाल बनाएकी पूजाले केही म्युजिक भिडियो र केही विज्ञापनहरुमा समेत काम गरेकी छिन्। तर सबैभन्दा चर्चा भने साइबर नेपाल (हाल नाम परिवर्तन गरेर साइबर संसार बनेको) नामको नेपालमा ग्ल्यामर मोडलिङको नयाँ ढोका खोल्ने साइटमा गरिएको यस्तो बोल्ड फोटो सेसन कै भयो। भलै, अहिले त्यो साइटमा गएर हेर्दा उनका यी फोटोहरु देखिने छैनन्। (सँगैको फोटो र यो फोटो त मैले उही बेला सेभ गरेर राखेको पो त!)यी फोटो किन हटाइएका हुन्, उनीहरु नै जानुन्। सुनेको कुरा गर्ने हो भने त त्यो फोटो सेसनमा प्रकाशित फोटोहरुभन्दा पनि “बोल्ड” फोटो खिचिएका थिए रे। अब यो भन्दा पनि “बोल्ड” भने पछि तपाईँ अनुमान लगाउनुस् कस्तो होला ?
पूजा लामाको कुरा सुनेपछि मलाई साइबर नेपालकी अर्की मोडल कोहिनूर सिंहको याद आयो। हाल उनी आनी बनेकी छिन्। एक मोडल आनी, अर्कीद्वारा विषपान….भो, अब चाहिँ यस्तो खबर सुन्न नपरोस्, कि कसो ?
[अपडेटः(असोज ३१) आज प्रकाशित नेपाल समाचारपत्रका अनुसार, उनले शनिबार १८ वटा सिटामोल र संख्या खुल्न नसकेको मात्रामा निद्रा लाग्ने अौषधि खाएकी थिइन्। उनलाई तत्काल वीर अस्पतालको आईसीयुमा लगिएको थियो। उनको उपचार भइरहेको र हाल उनी खतरामुक्त रहेको बताइएको छ। कान्तिपुर अनलाइनले पनि यो समाचार दिएको छ जसलाई ब्लगका एक पाठक निलन थेच्वमीले तल प्रतिक्रियामा साभार गर्नुभएको रहेछ। समाचारपत्रको अनलाइन संस्करणमा भने यो समाचार राखिएको छैन]

The modeling field of nepal is in the hand of uneducated and and NARAMRA people, the do not know what is modeling and glamer. These type of girl are all prostitute, these are found in cabin dance and disco. You can pick up any one and make model. They are ready to open any dress at any place. So do not say them as model.

I am quite a regular reader of your blog. I usually find your articles interesting. However, I have a small comment on the blog you posted here about the model Puja Lama. You have written in your concluding line that - “एक मोडल आनी, अर्कीद्वारा विषपान….भो, अब चाहिँ यस्तो खबर सुन्न नपरोस्, कि कसो ?” . I am not sure what exactly you want to say by this line. Surely, the story of Puja (if it is true) is sad one, but what is wrong if the model Kohinoor singh opted to be an “Ani”? You have written in such a way that being an Ani is a kind of crime. It is her personal choice to be a model or an Ani. I hope you refrain from writing such irresponsible lines.

Model makes suicide attempt

KATHMANDU, Oct 17 - Emerging model, actress and a member of the all girl pop group, Dream Girls, Pooja Lama has tried to kill herself by overdosing on sleeping tablets.
She attempted the suicide at her residence in Samakhusi, Kathmandu, last Saturday, a news report said. She was rushed to the Bir Hospital and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
The doctors attending her have said that she has conceded to have consumed 18 tablets of Paracitamol, an antipyretic, and an undisclosed amount of sleeping pills, according to the report.
“Pooja is undergoing treatment at the hospital and is out of danger now,” the report quoted Pooja’s brother Shiva as saying.
No explanation has been given as yet as to why the model tried to end it all.
Officials at the District Police Office, Kathmandu, said that no case regarding Lama’s attempted suicide has been registered with them
24-yr-old Lama, who is originally from Darjeeling (India), has done commericials for Swastik Tea, Kodak, Western Union Money Transfer, Century Masala, Coca Cola. She has also performed in a number of music videos including Reema Gurung’s Najarko Doshi, Sachin Rauniyar’s Love Song, Raju Lama’s Arkai Arkai, and De Tali and Rimjhim Rimjhim- two music videos of her own band.
She has also featured in movies like Paapi, Chakrabyuh and Salaam

Some of you who have made so negative comments on her must be animals. You don’t even have some sympathy for a dying woman.
I don’t care what she does. It is OK to have photos the way she likes. I don’t really see anything in these photos, and yea, I have seen a lot more of Angelina Jolie or Halle Berry. Grow up kids, and let’s face the reality of woman body. There is no shame in flaunting it.

what ever it may be, i have no comments on her charactor, if one can set good example for the socity that iz appriciated, if not, at least live your life, but having suecide iz just a COWARDNESS.. AATMAHATYA GARNU KAYAR PANA HO..life iz once and its a challenge too, so face the chalenges..

Umesh preaches something like ‘aba yesto nahos’. Well, he might be well meaning, but please stop hypocrisy. People like you who not only visited the website but saved it in your personal disks for further uses don’t have any more moral right to preach.
I hope this experience of life will wisen up this young lady. If she thought she made mistake, I hope she would have strength to survive the consequences of her mistakes too. Compared to so many vices of this society, taking off cloth to have a beautiful picture of your body seems just so trivial, if it is a vice at all.

Grow up guys! Instead of sympathizing, you guys are harassing her. The pictures she have posed are not so bad. These kind of pictures can compete with International quality. You guys need to appreciate her work being bold on this and trying to make nepalese society forward.

WHY DID POOJA ATTEMPT SUICIDE?

KATHMANDU, Oct 20 - The suicide attempt by model, actress and singer Pooja Lama last Saturday once again drew everybody’s attention back to the entertainment industry and those individuals in it, for all the wrong reasons.
“Suicide Attempt by Actress Pooja Lama.” This news item published in a national daily on October 17 reminded many people of actress Shrisha Karki, who had committed suicide during Dashain three years ago. Pooja Lama was taken to the emergency ward of Bir Hospital with the help of her family and friends. She had consumed a very high dose of the L-plus drug. Her life was saved, thanks to the timely treatment.
When this journalist met Pooja at Bed No. 50 in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital on Monday evening, there were telltale signs of pain in her face. She was constantly weeping. Wiping tears from her cheek, Pooja said: “Yes, I tried to commit suicide.” Why? What was the reason behind her suicide attempt? She did not divulge any details on this matter. It was evident from her face that she was not happy to be alive. With a pain-filled laughter, she said: “I returned from the threshold of death.”
Nepali moviegoers first got to know of Pooja Lama, a 25-year old native of Darjeeling (India), because of her role in Narayan Puri’s feature film “Paapi”. She also appeared in more than half a dozen advertisements, including those of Swastik tea and Century spice. After “Paapi,” she acted in “Chakravyuha” and “Salaam”. However, those two movies were not commercially successful. She married a guy of her own caste during the making of “Paapi,” but the marriage ended in failure after five months. She gave birth to a son immediately after the separation from her husband and went to Belgium. After her return from Belgium, she stayed in her country for a year. She even took up modeling assignments and catwalked on the ramp. Cybernepal.com took her pictures and put them online. Many people thought those pictures were erotic.
Could her glamorous life-style be the reason behind her suicide attempt? A television correspondent who had come to interview Pooja on that day asked this journalist this very question. Her glamorous life-style had not caused her any tension as such.
To provide an outlet to her musical talent, she had got together with two friends and formed the “Dream Girls” band. The band had even released an album. However, Pooja Lama could not achieve the expected level of success even in her singing career. Pooja is known more for her beauty than her artistic talent. Could it be that she chose suicide because she could not be as successful as she expected to be? According to a close friend of hers, she was actively reviving her singing career: she was even recording songs for her solo album.
Some journalists were making speculations that Pooja might be pregnant. “An overdose of such drugs can also cause an abortion,” they argued. However, their argument clearly lacked any basis.
When this journalist met Pooja at Bir Hospital, she was fit enough to talk properly. “Why did you try to commit suicide?” she was asked. She replied: “I don’t want to divulge the reason right now. When I am back in form after my discharge from the hospital, I will probably organize a press conference and divulge the reason [behind the suicide attempt].”

I found this site accidently somehow i read some of the above lines..some of the people were sick minded..no moral values and no respect for women…there is notihng wrong with the picture…if she takes also,there is no way to be related with prostitute..try to grow up….

Yes I am agree with you ssssss…why ppl r so sick these days? I bet her pic was somethin’ different than others, but nothin to do with prostitution, and I also think this is not the right time to say anythin’ bout her..Blaming someone is so easy. Before makin’ comments, someone should real think your post is going to read by several ppl.
I would like to know how she is now?
Hope we will get that chance to read that too..

प्ूजाले छोरो पाएपछि उनलाई आर्थिक रुपमा केही तनाव पनि भयो । बीचको केही समय बेरोजगार बन्न्ु परेको र लोग्नेले पनि वास्ता नगरेको कारण प्ूजा त्यसरी तनावमा परेकी थिइन्् । बच्चा छ महिनाको भएपछि साधना कला केन्द्रका मिलन मोक्तानले प्ूजासहितको कलाकार टोलीलाई बेल्जियममा नेपाली स“ास्कृतिक कार्यक्रम पर््रदर्शन गर्ने नाममा लगेको थियो । एक-दर््र्ुइजनाबाहेक अरुलाई बेल्जियममा भगाउने योजनाअन्ुरुप विभिन्न व्यक्तिहरुस“ग मोक्तानले पैसा लिएका थिए । तर, प्ूजाको आर्थिक दर््र्ुवलताका कारण उनीस“ग भने पैसा नलिई भगाएका थिए । प्ूजाले यता छोरो आफन्तको जिम्मामा छाडेर गएकी थिइन्् । बेल्जियममा प्ूजाले विभिन्न काम गरिन्् । त्यसरी काम गर्दै जा“दा पतिस“गको बिछोड भएकी प्ूजाले उतै बस्ने एक नेपालीलाई पतिको रुपमा अङ्गाल्ने निधो गरिन्् । बेल्जियमको एन्थ्रोप शहरमा बस्ने प्ूजा र त्यही शहरमा प्ूजाभन्दा अगाडि नै प्ुगिसकेका चिजक्ुमार नामक व्यक्ति प्ूजाको पति बनेका थिए । प्ूजाले औपचारिक विवाह नेपाल फर्किएपछि गर्ने भन्दै एन्थ्रोप शहरमा बस्ने धेरैजसो नेपालीहरुलाई एउटा होटलमा बोलाएर आफ्ूहरुको विवाह घोषणा गर्दै औंठी सा“टासा“ट गरेका थिए । त्यसरी बेल्जियममा सा“टेको औंठीलाई अझ कसिलो बनाउ“दै नेपालमा सिन्द्ुर रङ्गाउने भनी प्ूजा बेल्जियमबाट काठमाडौं फर्किइन्् । प्ूजा फर्किएको केही समयपछि चिजक्ुमार पनि बरमाला पहिरिने योजनाअर्न्तर्गत काठमाडौं आए । तर, काठमाडौं आएपछि चिजक्ुमारले प्ूजास“ग विवाह र्सार्न अन्ुरोध गरे । बेल्जियमदेखि आएर चिजक्ुमारले किन त्यसो भने भन्ने क्ुरामा प्ूजामा व्यापक अन्यौलता रह््यो । प्ूजालाई खबरै नगरिकन चिजक्ुमार केही दिनपछि बेल्जियम फर्किए । प्ूजाले बेल्जियमस्थित चिजक्ुमारको फोनमा सर्म्पर्क गरिन्् । र, फोन उठाउने महिलाले भनिन््- ‘म उहा“को श्रीमती बोलेको…..।’ वास्तवमा चिजक्ुमारले प्ूजास“ग औंठी सा“ट््न्ुअघि नै नेपालमै अर्की य्ुवतीस“ग विवाह गरिसकेका थिए । सामान्य पारिवारिक असमझदारी भएपछि प्ूजास“ग विवाह गर्ने योजना बनाएका चिजक्ुमार योजनाअर्न्तर्गत विवाह गर्न काठमाडौं आउ“दा आफ््नी श्रीमतीस“ग समझदारी कायम भएको र स“गै बेल्जियम लिएर गएका थिए ।
यसरी विवाहपछिको पहिलो प्रेममा धोका पाएपछि प्ूजाले अब नेपालमा नै आफ््नो करिअर प्ुनः श्ुरु गर्ने सोचाई बनाइन्् । उनले विभिन्न विज्ञापन र म्य्ुजिक भिडियोमा मात्रै काम गरिनन््, डि्रमगर्ल नामक एउटा व्याण्ड बनाएर संगठित गायनयात्राको थालनी गरिन्् । आगोमा ध्य्ु पग्लिन्छ भनेजस्तो विज्ञापनमा काम गर्ने सिलसिलामा दोस्ती बढेपछि निर्देशक दिनेश डीसी र प्ूजाबीच सघन सम्बन्ध स्थापित भयो । उनीहरुबीच मध्ुर प्रेम नै बस्यो । डीसीस“ग प्रेम सम्बन्ध कायम भएपछि प्ूजासहित छ जनाको टोलीले ल्हासामा एक वर्षा लागि नेपाली सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम पर््रदर्शन गर्ने अवसर पायो । प्ूजा गत वर्षल्हासा गइन्् । एकवर्षा ल्हासाको करार सकिएर प्ूजाहरु काठमाडौं र्फकंदा म्ुल्ुकमा मकरतन्त्र हावी भएको थियो । माघ १९ आलै थियो । टेलिफोन ख्ुलेको थिएन । भेट््न्ुपर्ने मान्छेलाई ठाउ“मै गएमात्रै भेटिने अवस्था थियो । त्यसो ह्ु“दा प्ूजाले आफ््ना प्रेमी दिनेश डीसीलाई भेट््न सकिनन्् । डीसीको ठमेलस्थित प्रोडक्सन हाउस पनि सरिसकेको थियो, घरमा एक त न भेटिने, अर्को जानै पनि नमिल्ने भयो । प्ूजाले फेरि प्ुरानै काम गर्न थालिन््- र्याम्प मोडलिङको । प्ुतलीसडकस्थित ट्रेञ्जनामक मोडलिङ एजेन्सीमार्फ विभिन्न र्याम्प शोहरुमा सहभागी ह्ुन थालेपछि प्ूजाले त्यहा“ मोडलिङ पेशामा रहेका स्ुदन नामक नया“ साथी पाइन्् । फोन -ल्याण्डलाइन) स्ुचारु भएपछि दिनेश भेटिने ठाउ“ पत्ता लगाएर प्ूजाले फोन गरिन्् । डीसी र प्ूजाबीच फेरि भेटघाट र घ्ुमफिरको क्रम श्ुरु भयो । डीसीस“ग प्ुनर्मिलन भएपछि प्ूजाले स्ुदनको आवश्यकता महस्ूस गर्न छाडिन्् । प्ूजाको ब्ुबा र आमाबीच असमझदारी बढ््दो थियो । उनको ब्ुबा दार्जिलिङ्गमा र आमा काठमाडौंमा प्ूजास“गै बस्ने । एकदिन उनको ब्ुबा काठमाडौं आएको बेला आमास“ग झगडा पर्दा ब्ुबाले रिसले टेलिभिजनको स्किृन फ्ुटाइदिएका थिए । त्यसबेला डीसीको अफिसमा रहेको टेलिभिजन प्ूजाले आफ््नो घरमा लगेकी थिइन्् । प्ूजाको पति बिराजस“ग कान्ुनी सम्बन्ध बिच्छेद भएको छैन । ल्हासा जान्ुअघि छोरो स्याहार्ने सिलसिलामा केही समय प्ूजा र बिराज स“गै बसेका थिए, पहिलेको जस्तै दिगो समझदारी कायम ह्ुन सकेन । प्ूजा र डीसीको घनिष्टता देखेर प्ूजाकी आमा र भाउज्ुले डीसीस“ग बिवाह गर्नका लागि बारम्बार दबाब दिइरहेका थिए । उता प्ूजाका प्ुराना पति र मकरतन्त्रको बेलामा प्रेम बसेका स्ुदनले उनलाई अरुस“ग बिवाह नगर्न भनिरहेका थिए । गएको दशैंको टीकाको दिन दिनेशलाई प्ूजाकी आमाले फोन गरेर टीका लगाउन बोलाइन्् । डीसी साथीको आमाले बोलाएपछि टीका लगाउन गए । तर, दिनेशलाई प्ूजाकी आमा र भाउज्ुले प्ूजालाई सिन्द्ुर नहाली नफर्किन भनिरहेका थिए । डीसी जबरजस्ती त्यहा“बाट निस्किन थाले । तर, प्ूजाकी भाउज्ूले ढोकाको च्ुक्क्ुल लगाइन््, आमाले म्ूल गेटमा सा“चो लगाइन्् । तर, मध्यराती दर््र्ुइ बजे सबै स्ुतेको बेला डीसी त्यहा“बाट भाग्न सफल भए ।
दिनेश भागेपछि प्ूजाले दिनेशलाई फोन गरेर आफ्ूलाई आमा र भाउज्ुले निक्कै नै टेन्सन दिएको भन्दै रोइन्् । प्ूजालाई फकाउन भोलिपल्ट दिनेशले उनलाई भेटे । प्ूजाको दाइ भने टीकाको दिन रातीको घटनाप्रति निक्कै असन्त्ुष्ट थिए । यसरी दबाब र तनाबका बीचमा प्ूजा स्लिपिङ्ग ट््याव्लेट खाएर स्ुतिन्् । मर्न भनेर खाएको ट््याब्लेटले उनी मरिनन्् । उनले घरायसी तनाब र डीसीको प्रसङ्ग उल्लेख गर्दै लेखेको स्ुसाइड नोट दावा भन्ने साथीले फेला पारेका थिए, तर अहिले त्यो स्ुसाइड नोटको पत्तो छैन । दावाले नै हो, प्ूजाले मर्नेगरी दबाई खाएपछि अस्पताल प्ुर्याएको पनि ।
प्ूजा अहिले पनि आफ्ू प्रेमको तनाव रहेको बताउ“छिन्् । अस्पतालबाट केही दिनअघि डिस्चार्ज भएकी प्ूजा र डीसीबीच अस्पतालमा नियमित भेट ह्ुन्थ्यो । तर, केही दिनयता व्यस्तताको कारण आफ्ूले प्ूजालाई भेट््न नसकेको डीसी बताउ“छन्् । अहिले प्ूजास“ग आफ््नो स्ुमध्ुर सम्बन्ध नै रहेको डीसीको दावी छ । तर, काठमाडौंमा नै रहेका प्ूजाका औपचारिक पति बिराजको भने अत्तोपत्तो छैन । उनले आत्महत्या प्रयास गरेर अस्पताल भर्ना ह्ु“दा होस््, या डिस्चार्ज भएर घर फर्किदा होस््, आफ््नो विर्यदानबाट छोरो जन्माएकी स्वास्नीको खोजखबर गरेका छैनन््
