Umesh,
I couldn’t believe how negative your report has been. In fact, I can guess who sent this report, but I wouldn’t do it here.
I was one of those delegates there. Contrary to your report, people were equally appreciative of Pari Thapa, Padma Ratna Tuladhar, Anil Jha, Dhruba Pradhan, Jhalanath Khanal etc, but since Dr Rijal and Dr Mahat were old time nonresident Nepali, they had more friends there and were more at home with the discussants.
Again, Jhala Nath ji was not happy at first, because he didn’t have enough time to meet his party workers. But organizers had told about the program already to him, and he had agreed to that program. There was no cheating, and before he left DC, he told one of the organizers that his complaints were irrelevant and asked them to forget about it.
The theft was unfortunate. But the program was superb. People had come from as far away as from California, Canada, and New Mexico. Dr Gautam had just had kidney transplant and was in Delhi, when he came there. Aditya Jha had come all the way from Bangkok. We had serious discussion. It was not a party.
Before using words such as ‘dikka’ ‘bepatta’ etc, you need to evaluate these words. Whoever sent you this report must be a person who didn’t like the whole meeting, yet was in touch with the organizers, otherwise this report couldn’t have been so negative.

This is heights. This report was featured in this week’s Jana Aastha and the blogger insists that his “one of his readers” from the US sent it re. Come on, we thought we were reading first hand news and even if we didn’t, atleast the sources needs to be acknowledged!
This is plagiarism.

Umeshji, please give that proof to me, I need that.
Honestly, are you sure Kedar Shrestha was there? I had talked with the ambassador and he wasn’t there and the event was also boycotted by Bibek Shah, king’s ADC.
I think the reader who sent you the email wasn’t in the list of invited people, and lied to you about the ambassador being there. Those who were invited were mainly professors and businessmen/professionals. Obviously, it generated a rumor of elitism, but this rumor was also generated by jealousy.

The same person who didn’t have courage to write the ‘news’ in his own name is saying that writing comment in a nickname doesn’t have any meaning. Wow.
You are a disgrace to all journalists who have stood out for courage.

I don’t think any one who comments or criticizes of any event has to be necessarily a journalist. Here, Oops is clearly scared of journalists. By now, it’s obvious that who Oops is, even though he claims to be one of delegates. Being a one of the organizers (so-called), it is disgraced for him that he made comments to cover up his weakness accusing Jhalanath ji of not having enough time to meet his party workers. How shame and ridiculous to make such a self-derogatory comments. It’s interesting to know how may party workers Jhalanath ji has in Washington area and clearly Oops is vulnerable with them, if any. It could be admission of psychological defeat to Oops being isolated in Nepali community. Thank god, Prem Raja Mahat was in Baltimore to rescue him temporarily. It will not be surprising that if he says the ‘theft in a parked vehicle, where some participants lost their valuable belongings, was sabotage to victimize him.

Why these Nepalese Leaders Jump to America. Why they dont try to solve it in Nepal. Are they want to solve the problem or bring the problem? They should have requested to the Carter Foundation to invest in some worthful program than in their visit.
Unless these leaders stop Jumping everywhere like this it is defficult to restore democracy.
